Tan Washed Antique Washstand

A little piece of history with a fresh new look!

One of the most fascinating details of this antique washstand is its pin-and-cove joinery, also known as Knapp joints, which were commonly used in furniture construction between the 1870s and 1900. That means this piece could be nearly 150 years old!

The original finish was completely stripped away and replaced with a soft, natural wood look using an Algonquin paint wash. The original backsplash was preserved, while updated bronze hardware gives the piece a fresh look without taking away its antique charm.

Thoughtful upgrades include a magnetic push-to-open cabinet door, adjustable leveling feet, and beautiful floral drawer liners. The natural imperfections and signs of age add character to a piece that has already stood the test of time.
