The finish was refreshed with Howards Restore a Finish in the color Dark Walnut and then sealed with Howards Feed-n-Wax. The top detail work was removed and new feet were added to modernize the piece. The feet were toned with Mohawk toner in the color Perfect Brown. Lighting was removed and replaced with an updated version that was also softer in tone.
